I've never had this message appear on Windows 8 and I did go and disable anything I felt I wasn't using sufficiently. But my Windows 10 is freezing intermittently and I'm getting a message about low memory.

What gives? I have 4GB RAM and that's all my PC will hold, unfortunately. Is Windows 10 gobbling up memory?

Hello patriciafarrell

It looks that you need to change the Virtual Memory (pagefile) settings for your system drive (C: ) in your Windows.

You can do this by following the below steps:

> Log on to your Windows 10 PC with administrator account.

> On the desktop screen, press the Windows + Pause Break keys together.

> Once the System window opens up, you can continue from step 2 in this link to change the size of virtual memory.

FYI

You can increase the size of virtual memory manually. The minimum and maximum size that you can set for virtual memory is 1.5 times and 4 times of your physical memory (RAM) respectively. For example, if your PC has 1GB of RAM, you can set minimum and maximum...
