Im hoping to buy a ups for my gaming pc which according to some sites draw like 390W including the monitor. The UPS which i have in mind and also which is in my budget range has a max output wattage of 320W. purpose of the power supply is just for voltage sag regulation and surge protection. I dont need the battery life at all. I want to know if the ups will bottleneck the system or in anyway stop the pc from drawing power to its full capacity.

Solution
If all of your connected gear that is drawing power from the UPS exceeds the output wattage of the UPS, most likely the breaker will trip on the UPS. I would save up a little more and purchase a larger wattage UPS
