Low performance Witcher 2

Hello all,

I'm getting a just barely playable framerate (25fps) on High setting, resolution 1920x1200. My rig is QX6850, 8GB DDR2, HD7770. Somehow I felt like I should be able to handle this game (released in 2011)?! Is the low performance normal? If not, is it due to the CPU or GPU?

Witcher 2 is a very graphically demanding game, and the Radeon HD 7770 is not a particularly fast graphics card, it's about equivalent to a 2011 midrange graphics card, these days, it's considered a barely entry level gaming card. Make sure that Ubersampling is turned off, as that will cut your framerates in half.

What Supernova said. The QX6850 is also likely holding you back somewhat.

Witcher 2 is VERY demanding, even for todays rigs. Even my 770 GTX struggles with Ubersampling.
