Low performance with gtx 780.

I recently upgraded to a 780 but have been experiencing very low fps in Battlefield 4 (sometimes as low as 30) with no antialiasing and only on "High" settings.

My specs are:

i5 2500k @ 4.2ghz
Gtx 780 on Msi's "OC" mode
Msi p67a-gd53 motherboard (card running on a PCI-e Gen 2.0 16x slot)
8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM @ 1600mhz
Corsair 750w PSU
120GB SSD
500GB HDD
Windows 7 64 bit

I've installed the latest beta drivers, tried my CPU with all cores unparked and as they are at standard settings, any suggestions?

what resolution are you playing at and how does the card do on other tough titles? (Crysis 3, or the latest metro if you have either?)

What are your max temps? maybe your card is down-clocking.

I'm playing on a 1080p monitor and it seems to hold up pretty well against those two games although my friend says I should be expecting more from Crysis. I can run Metro on full (minus smaa) at about 50-60fps average and Crysis 3 on High without AA at about 60fps.

Perhaps it is because of the PCI gen 2 slot?
