So when i started playing multiplayer on cs:go, i started to notice minor lag spikes. I checked my ping and it was 35-50 so i wondered what was going on. I kept playing and noticed the the lag spikes were getting worse. Worse to the point where i could almost do nothing. Anyone know what's causing this and how to fix it?

Not unless you are using wireless. Wired is almost immune to any weather.

Run a tracert command to some address. Now ping the first and second address continuously and see if you see any issues. There are really the only ones you can do something about. The first hop is your router in your house. The second is the connection to the ISP. I can be wiring issues in out outside your house if you see issues on this hop. It can also be issues with the ISP equipment in the path.
If you are on wireless that is not unexpected since you get random interference from many things both inside and outside your house. You want to run games that have timing dependencies on wired.

Lag many times is caused by packet loss or jitter. Ping only measure basic delay. You need to test with actual ping commands and not the ingame tools since many times that is not a actual ping command.

how to i tets the actual ping commands?

so test the ip im using?
just used a website called pingtest.net and while i was gaming, tested it and seen 72ms jitter... is this the problem?

i checked and i had no packet loss. The peak for the jitter was 150ms
and can weather be the problem with the lag?
