Low power 24/7 server

I've been running a home server on a Pentium 4 PC using Amahi. The old machine is very noisy and probably not particularly power efficient so I'm looking to replace it with something more appropriate.

I was initially hoping to use a Raspberry Pi 3 but this falls short on a few areas (primary of which is only having 100/10 LAN network).

As you can now get Acer Aspire Revo machines for less than £60, I was wondering if one of these would be up to the job? Nothing I do is particularly CPU intensive so they might tick all the boxes.
I'd be looking to run Amahi on it and it would need to be able to handle the following -

  • Running 24/7
    DNS/DHCP server
File sharing (private folders/drives per PC and shared folders/drive)
    CrashPlan backup server
    Perforce Helix server
I'm running one internal HDD and three external USB drives from the server at present so internal space isn't an issue. The Revo has 6 x USB 2.0 ports. The server would need to be able to stream (HD) media to 2 or 3 different PCs around the house (sometimes simultaneously) via wired Gigabit LAN.

Ultimately I'd like to hook in remote access to files and maybe a handful of other bits and bobs, but the above list contains the definite requirements.

So, would a Revo 3700 be up to task? (Or a 3600, 3610 or other similar model)? If not, what would be an appropriate economical and reasonably priced machine for the job?
