Low power motherboard

Hello. Soon we'll have a lower power Core 2 Duo desktop CPU.
Which motherboard will be a power efficient partner for a power efficient core2 duo?

I don't expect to overclock or have cutting edge performance, but low power will be very important. I saw some Mini ITX boards with notebook components, but it's just too expensive.

I usually cannot see in the reviews the motherboard power efficiency, and AMD have higher TDP so I am considering Intel...

Mainboards with a P965 chipset.
nVidia chipsets consume a lot of power.

What kind of task are you using the pc for? If you want just surfing the net then you diffinitely get some low power consumption pcs. I would go for that Apple's tiny pc. Looks cute and practical for daily tasks and net.

I would wait a couple a weeks and see how the bearlake motherboards do with power consumption.

A motherboard with integrated graphics will yield a low power system. This eliminates the need for a video card, and are typically cooled without fans.
