Low quality for fax through Windows Fax and Scan

Hi, i hope that here is appropriate section for my post.
I have an Epson BX305F multifunction printer, but for sending the faxes i use a device linked on usb port.
The software for fax is Windows Fax and Scan of Windows Seven 64bit.
My question is: why when i scan the documents with my Epson and then i send through Windows Fax and Scan the quality becomes very low?
The resolution of scanning is good but when i call the program for fax for sendig i have this problem.
Why? Do you know ?

Scanning to Gray scale or black/white - Screen or Print ?
Does make a difference, at least with my Epson.

I scanned in black/white and i displayed on screen and i printed a paper with Epson.

What is the quality of the FAX received by the end user, not what you
are viewing in the send folder ?

Unfortunately i don' t know the quality received from end user, but i have seen the fax into sent fax folder in Windows Fax and Scan.

It is easy enough to call the recipient and ask. Have a friend that has a FAX machine ? I am betting the image received is okay, but for unknow reason, what you are viewing in sent folder does not eflect accurately.

I' ll try to call a recipient of the fax, but for me It was obvious that the quality was Just that of the faxes into Sent Fax Folder...
