My RAM is PNY XLR8 8GB DDR3 @ 1600, but running speccy shows it's being slowed to 666MHz.

I am running an A10-6800k Black edition APU, and my friend told me the processor might be throttling it, but i havent been able to fix it in bios so far.

Solution
Go into the BIOS, the advanced area, and look for XMP, or DOCP or EOCP, whichever you find, enable it and select 1600, that should set the sticks up for you at 1600

Legenda in Aeternum
Look at CPU-Z in the memory tab, Speccy may be showing the default for the DRAM, CPU-Z in the memory tab will show true freq which should be 800 (this is DOUBLE data rate - DDR, so 800x2 = 1600 effective), if showing 667 = 1333, then let me know and we'll get it to 1600
