Hi,

I resently got myselves a new office monitor, with 3440x1440dpi resolution. The PC is an a bit old, with an i7 4770k, with HD 4600 integrated graphics. It is supposed to support resolution up to 4069x2160dpi with a HDMI-cable.

My issue is that it seems I can't set the resolution higher than 1080dpi. I have innstalled a spesific driver for the screen and have also the newest graphic driver from Intel.

Any suggestions for a solution?

Mobo: MSI B85M-E45
Screen: T34w-30

Those integrated graphics HDMI ports are HDMI1.x spec. They will only do 4K up to 30Hz.

For 3440x1440 you need HDMI 2.0 and higher. In your situation, that means adding a discrete graphics card.

Thanks for the clearing the issue... :)
I can get myselves a modest GPU with passive cooling then...
..or COULD a display port cable solve the problem? (DP 1.4)

HDMI 1.4 will suppport 3440×1440 at 60 Hz (although Intel HD graphics implementation is limited to 300 MHz TMDS, so max 50 Hz at 3440×1440). It should be working here.
