low resolution problem ASAP

why my pc can play only low resolution and when i am trying to get a little higher my monitor turns out and say "no signal.?? i play at 1024x768 BUT when i go up to 1920x1080 my monitor goes black but i am still listen the sounds..of music,gaming etc...i have an Philips 226V4LAB 21,5 and a saphire 7850 1gb.. i cant try onboard graphics because i dont have onboard... is my graphics fail or not? please help..what i can do?

It sounds like possibly you need to update your drivers and restart.

i had done this 5 times again and again.. and when i install the driver my pc open windows is starting i am listening the sound but my monitor is black..when i booting to low resolution is booting normaly.. with drivers..when i play games i play to low and when i go to little higher "boooom" again black.. 1 year ago i had play call of duty 2 at full 50-60fps and now i had it on low and again 10fps...

Optimal resolution for that monitor is 1920 x 1080 bij 60 Hz. Be sure you get the 60 Hz.
If that does not fix the problem, get the AMD driver here........

it is 60hz.. and i had install the same driver.. but still nothing my prob is still here... and i have 64bit..

Ever checked the temperature of the video card? Maybe it runs to hot due to dust in the cooler or to high temperature in your computer case?
You can get tools for that or you can find it in the Catalyst Control Center.
