hello, what is better for a longer fan life span, should i keep them off at idle and turn them on while load or always on low rpm? (mostly gpu and cpu oriented question) im just curious about this and i want a answer with some engineer explanation if is possible, i cant stop thinking about it. thank you in advance.

Solution
160,000 hours is 18.26 years, so it's pretty much a given that the fan stands a really good chance of out-lasting the useful life of the pc. Just run them low at idle, typically they are all bios controlled except for the psu fan, and even then I'd not run the 'eco' off mode as the psu will constantly run warm-hot until the fan suddenly kicks on and ramps up high. Same for the gpu.

Lifespan of fans are measured in hours (for an example cooler master hyper 212 B.E. is rated for 160,000 hrs) so I would keep them off at idle.
