I just purchased and installed the TRUE430 in my system and I notice that the RPM doesn't exceed 950. It ususally hovers around 890-920 RPM. When the CPU is at 100% load, the PSU fan will increase to 950 RPM. The antec website states that the minimum RPM should be 1500 for this PSU. Anybody have any idea if my PSU is defective or is this normal?

I've got the 480W antec truepower and like us said it dont seem to get that speedy on the fans.

Also as you plug ur case fans into the 'fan' power supply they run slow too case temp went up 6 degrees.

Let us know how you resolve it.

Speaking from my own experiences with the antec psu's, the reason for the low RPM's is to keep the noise down. That's Antec's "quiet" feature. Same goes for the low RPM's on the "fan only" plugs. I stay away from the "fan only" plugs and use a fan controller. I've noticed that Antec lowered the RPM's on their newer PSU's because my old Antec True430 ran at 1430 RPMs and drove my bios hardware monitor nuts because of it. There's really nothing you can do about the RPMs. Just don't use the "fan only" plugs if you can.
