I recently bought Samsung 980 500GB Up to 3,500 MB/s PCIe 3.0 NVMe M.2 (2280) Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-V8V500) , and Installed on my PC with Windows 11 . Gygabyte GA-H97-D3H is my mother board , and its almost 7yr old. Please check my CrystalDiskmark Results and Samsung Magician. I have two more days left to return it. is this speed is normal on this mobo?
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Using the image you've posted above, click on Drive Details and see what the speed of the interface is. Also, what BIOS version are you on for your motherboard at this moment of time? That motherboard's M.2 slot should be operating at PCIe 2.0 x2.

If you don't plan on upgrading the platform(to something current gen) then return the SSD and get something that's SATA based. If you're going to change to a current gen platform, then stick to this Samsung drive.
So your are saying , the slow speed is because of my current setup right ? I already have a 120Gb SATA ssd , thats why I bought nvme type , I think I will upgrade my system with in a year , So am keeping this Nvme SSD , Thank you
