I’m kinda worried because I’ve read lots of forms on this website and what my pc displaying is unusual. I overclockdd my i5-6600k to 4.5 MHz and my cpuV to 1.3v in my gigabyte bios setting. HOWEVER On prime95 and my gigabyte hardware monitor app, it says my cpu is stable for some reason at 1.2 volts with 4.5 MHz. Pls help, did I forget to turn off an auto default setting or something? Btw I ran prime95 for 3 and a half hours and results were all pass/stable with 66 Celsius.

Well if it's stable at 1.2v that is a good thing. Try HWinfo64 or HWmonitor and see what it says CPU VCORE is, gigabyte isn't known for making the best monitoring software.

If it also reads 1.2v you can turn on LLC (load line calibration) in the BIOS to one of the lower levels DO NOT MAX IT OUT. This will reduce VDROOP which causes the CPU to drop below your set VCORE voltage under load.

I used cpu-z as well to monitor my cpu temp and voltage. As for LLC, my bios set it to auto. Any other programs to monitor my cpu volt and temp? Because I’m pretty sure it’s accurate. So then, is it unusual to have a i5-6600k running at 4.5 MHz with only 1.2v?
