Hi,
My internet speed over wifi is nowhere near the advertised Max speed that the router is capable of over 5Ghz. Over ethernet I get 900Mbps. Over wifi I get about 60Mbps and the roouter is supposed to be capable of 467Mbps. The routers is about 3-4m away from the laptop and there are no other routers on the same channel. Why am I not getting higher speeds over wifi? The router is Asus rt-ac52u b1 and the wifi module of the laptop is intel wi-fi 6 ax200 2x2 ax. Thank you in advance.

Solution
That router is 1x1 according to Asus web page. With a 20mhz 2.4Ghz connection, throughput of 60Mb is about right. You need to verify that you are connecting to the 5Ghz radio.

100% positive I am connecting to the 5Ghz frequency. I tested a few minutes ago and was surprised to see that I got 90Mbps download through 2.4Ghz. I know how it sounds, I haven't mixed them up. When I connect, in details it is clearly displayed which connection I am using.
