Question Lower internet speed on new router

Hello, I have bought a new router from my ISP. I had some really really old one and I had 9mbps download. Now I have the new one, its 5GHz, ac and some other new features and download speed is 6mbps. How is that possible? Should I set something up? The router is located at the same exact place.

is it a DSL line , have you configed your wifi so no one else uses it ?

it's VDSL and no one else can use it

if its VDSL do you have the proper configs for a VDSL on your new modem ? like the VPI VCI etc. ? try looking into your older modem's config
