So i have an alright pc where everyone seems to be having higher fps than me with almost identical build and i'm not talking 10 -20 frames am talking 50 frames for some reason
uhh here's my build, just been having a lot of problems with this, also did the UserBenchmark test, seemed to tell me nothing wrong, and when i check Task manager always see my cpu skyrocketing in usage
MB: H410M S2H
Ram: 16Gb x 1 Teamgroup 2660mhz
Graphics Card: RTX 2060 Gigabyte
Cpu: i5 10400F
if need any more info i'm happy to provide

Download userbenchmark

Reboot.
Wait a few mins.
Run userbenchmark with the browser closed.
Post a LINK to the results page.

Single channel ram can have a noticeable performance impact on fps. Userbenchmark is saying your single channel ram is performing as expected but that is likely noticeably lower than if running dual channel. It is also not running at 3000mhz but a weird 2727mhz? Have you tried XMP at 3000mhz?

i have, put xmp on 3000mhz but doesn't seem to do the trick, also when i'm checking with task manager it's usually the cpu that's really really struggling, i don't mind upgrading the ram or cpu just wanna know the issue before committing to buying anything

Single channel RAM is taking a massive hit in performance. that combined with a bad motherboard with poor VRM that can most likely not utilize the turbo frequency of your processor = your issue. It makes perfect sense to me.

alright soo from what i'm seeing i guess i'll go for a new mother board and maybe just an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 instead of an i7 10700 with the same motherboard

In my opinion yes..The 10700 is outdated anyways the 12600k will beat it easily. and the nice thing is that the resale value of the 10700 is pretty high and should fund most of the upgrade cost. If you go with intel make sure the motherboard can handle the biggest cpu u can throw at it, in this case the MSI Pro b660m-a. Or you can go AMD just know that the 7000 series is released soon and you may benefit from a price drop on both amd and intel if you wait a bit.

Yee i might do that tbh, thinking of MSI b450m and a Ryzen 5 5600x depending on the prices, but thanks for that i might wait for the price drop! ^^
