Lower Than Average FPS GTX 970

I am getting below average FPS. I have done a clean install of Windows and have tried resetting, adjusting power settings and updating my drivers. I have made sure my resolution is correct and turned off DSR. My rig is as follows:

Strix Geforce GTX 970,

Intel Core i5-7500 @3.40GHz,

GIGABYTE Z270-HD3,

8GB HyperX RAM,

Corsair CX600m PSU,

1Tb WD Hard Drive

Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB Internal SSD


Please, my all means, ask for any info. I'm 100% sure I missed some vital piece of information.

How are your temperatures? Please download Speccy and check while you play a game.

Can you give us some numbers and what games? Context will definitely help. I'd also answer the above question as that could very well be part of the cause.
