Hey TomsHardware,
Recently purchased DOOM on Steam during the QuakeCon sale, and immediately after starting to play on MEDIUM settings I was dissatisfied with how it was performing (70-100fps). Upon looking up multiple videos on YouTube of similar builds on ULTRA settings, I realized that my game wasn't achieving a framerate even close to what was shown in the videos (150-200fps). Even after screwing around with lowering/increasing my graphics settings, there was no setup that resulted in anything like the videos or other benchmarks.
CURRENT BUILD
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-7700K @ 4.8GHz
RAM: GSKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB DDR4 3200MHz
MOBO: ASUS PRIME Z270-P
PSU: CORSAIR Gaming Series GS800 800W
I've tried seemingly everything. Changing between Vulkan/OpenGL, reinstalling my graphics drivers, multiple different in game settings, tinkering with my NVIDIA Control Panel.. I'm sure theres more but I can't remember off the top of my head.
Any idea what could be wrong, or what changes I could make to get this working properly? I know complaining about having 70-100fps sounds unappreciative but I'd like to properly play a game with the build that I have. Let me know if theres any more information I can provide.
Cheers
