Lowering settings doesnt increase FPS!

Hi,



Lately i noticed some weird things on rig



I7 4790

RX580 8G sapphire nitro+ special edition

16GB Ram

LG 29uc88 2560x1080@75

All drivers are updated. 



I noticed that i gain minimal FPS and sometimes not when drastically lowering graphics from ultra to high till low.



Like in AC odyssey i lowered everything, including field of view it looks like crap now and barley getting 40FPS.



Same goes to warhammer 2, literally zero gain between ultra and medium.



Other games as well, whether i play on high or low i get the same performance...



GPU usage is almost all the time @100%, where CPU usage is around 50% -70%.



Im also not getings the same FPS in game compared to the benchmarks on youtube for the same games and settings!

What could be the issue,? Noting that i recently installed fresh copynof windows.

Temps are within range, no throttling. Benchmarking my cpu and gpu on 3d mark fire strike gave expected results.

The standard diagnotic procedure is always:
- check energy settings for the processor (windows control panel) and for the GPu (nVidia control panel, AMd has something similar but I forgot what it is called)
- check the temps for both GPU and CPU
- clean your PC from viruses, malwares, etc. incl. those you do not need among the background running apps.
