[SOLVED] Lowest CL i can get on a 3000 mhz cl16 stick by downtuning to 2666?

Hey everyone

I recently got myself an i5 10400f (was cheaper than 3600 and i am biased towards intel) i also got a b460 board and gskill 3000 mhz cl16 sticks. (1.35v)

Now i know b460 limits i5 processors to 2666 mhz and doesn't let you overclock the ram bandwith. But you CAN downtune the bandwith and mess with the timings and i was wondering if 14-14-14-34 on 1.5v would be possible? I wanted to ask you guys before doing it myself and messing up my fresh mobo

yes it can, but i recommend you to keep the ram sticks temperature below 45c

Sorry, forgot to update the thread. It didn't allow me go below 15-15-15-35. Also, voltage was capped at 1.45. Not much room for improvement but hey, cl15 (with 1t) is better than cl16 (with 2t) which was default.
