Lowish FPS with a good rig?

I've got a pretty decent computer with an i7-7700k Kaby Lake and an GTX 1080 and I cant manage to get over 100 frames in some low demanding games, what could be the reason?

1920x1080 and games like Escape From Tarkov, SCP: Secret Laboratory, Miscreated and other stuff like that mostly. Is it maybe just an optimization issue?
