LPs to CDs will audigy 2 do that?

transfering music records(LPs) to digital CDs. My turntable has two wires and none of them look like they will plug in and work in the sound card. Do I need more hardware?

Your best bet would be to hook the record player up to a receiver and run the output from the receiver to the sound card. Some record players needed to be plugged into the phono input on a receiver or elese you get a hum. I had this problem years ago though so it may have changed.

I'd try to use an adapter double phono to stereo minijack. If the signal is too weak you may have to amplify that with a separate unit as Sturm said. I know some of the sounblaster cards (Live 24 bit USB for sure) came with specially designed software that made cuts when it sensed silence, could be handy if you intend to "digitalize" the whole lot...
