LPT missing

hi, i have a new installed windows xp pro with SP2, i try to install
additional PCI printer port, there's no problem to install the driver, but it
just not work with the printer, so i uninstall the software, after the
uninstallation it also takes away all the LPT1, LPT2 and LPT3 port, is there
a way to install them back? i try to use the "add local port" option, even
thought it shows on the list of ports but still can't make it work again on
any of them.

Is the additional card picked up by the BIOS correctly?
