Lucent Win Modem Driver compatibility with XP?

Hello, i got a driver manager called Driver Genius Professional some time ago, it says that this driver is completely required, but when i am going to install it says it isn't compatible with windows xp service pack 3. So i want to know if first, this is required to get a better connection, and second if it runs normally on xp service pack 3. Thanks.

have you tried Windows Update to see if it will find the drivers? make sure to un-install the other software first.
