So, I'm trying to grow my Vengeadin to L30 before I take on big D.
I've been biding my time over the last few levels doing normal Meph
runs and running around in act 4.

Today, after killing Meph, and cleaning up his durance, I kill some
blood-ghouls. Ting...30% Nagel. Best I'd ever found before was a 23
or 24.

Oh whats this? Full of cash? Better go gamble. Hit some chain
gloves, 35% Chances (from Jamala).
In a span of < 5 minutes real time.

You can, but the odds are *very* high against it. Something like 1 or
2 in 10,000, IIRC.

I gambled The Cat's Eye amulet! Still a bit giddy about that, and
wondering what to do with it (no resists, no +skills, no leach...)

Well, at least you managed to gamble a useless unique. Unless I'm
mistaken, the last time I managed to gamble *any* unique was in 1.03,
where the odds were roughly 5000 times better ;-)

Best I got was Chance Guards.

I think I've only gambled one unique, but it was a Dwarf Star (and in SP
at that), so not to be sneezed at 🙂

I keep trying - got to do *something* with all that gold, after all....
