Hello I need help choosing a right video card based on a current situation and budget

Here are current computer specs. This build was already put together and works

Intel Core i7-3930K 3.2GHz 6-Core
Corsair H60 54.0 CFM Liquid
ASRock X79 Extreme4 ATX LGA2011
GeIL EVO Veloce Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" SSD
Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM
NZXT Tempest 410 ATX Mid Tower Case
EVGA 750W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
Microsoft Windows 8 (OEM) (64-bit)

This build is used for Architecture school. It's been performing well until recently.

Problem is that we have to use a program called Lumion 3D (www.lumion3d.com), which from what I understand benefits from using a graphics card.

Currently I am using a cheap ~$30 graphic card just to connect monitors. As a matter fact I installed the software and ran it. It started performing it's benchmark test. Which is a video being rendered. It is very slow and never finishes it.

I am looking to invest in something that is going to make Lumion 3D work. I don't want a workstation graphics card like Quadro or Firepro. I am looking to spend $200-$300 maximum.

If you anyone can find a solution I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!
