Question lycom dt-120 vs dt-129 with samsung 970 evo plus

Hello,
I want to get faster and more storage.

I plan to put a Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD 2TB - M.2 NVMe Interface Internal Solid State Drive with V-NAND Technology (MZ-V7S2T0B/AM) on my Asus maximus V formula mother board with a lycom pcie adapter.

Will this work? also should i use the lycom dt 120 or 129?

I doubt you will be able to use it as a boot drive in that setup.
