[SOLVED] m.2 2280 500gb NMVe ssd

is it worth getting a m.2 2280 500gb NMVe ssd and installing windows on it? Or should i stick witht the standard 2.5 ssd? Because I am looking at purchasing WD Black 500GB High-Performance NVMe PCIe Internal SSD - M.2 2280, 8 Gb/s to use on my ROG Crosshair VII Hero. Any help would be appreciated.

It depends on what your using it for. If all you do with the computer is check your email then no it's a waste of money. On the other hand if you doing something more computer intensive then it's a good upgrade.

Given that motherboard I'm assuming that your doing some gaming, graphics work or something that needs some computing power so I'll say yes it's a worth while upgrade. I like the Samsung 970 drives myself but the WD Black drives are perfectly fine too.

What other drives are in it now?
