[SOLVED] m.2 adapter in a laptop?

Yes, because your BIOS would see it as any other 2.5in SATA drive.

M.2 SATA Drives and 2.5in SATA Drives are basically the same things, just shaped differently with a different connector shoved on the end.

However, why wouldn't you just buy a 2.5in SATA drive for the same price with the same performance? Plus you wouldn't need any adapter.

Remember, M.2 NVME drives like a Samsung 970 Evo would not work.

i know that i should buy a 2.5 inch drive instead of this adapter but i would like to see two m.2 drives in a adapter like this https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com...YK4RE9BKMMCJ&refRID=T6HKHND3YK4RE9BKMMCJ&th=1 in a laptop in jbod mode, the first drive is for boot, the other drive is for other things as my laptop doesnt have cd drive(it's 2020) to expand more drives.
Seeing as that connect to the system via a single SATA connection, how is it supposed to present two individual drives to the PC or laptop?

JBOD is seen as a single space, you don't get to choose one for boot, the other for other things.
