Hey guys,

Just finished building a new pc and i turn it on and go to bios to check all the parts are showing up. My two M.2 drives show up (#1 is 500gb and #2 is 128gb (boot drive)) but not my 4tb hdd. I go into windows and now the 500gb m.2 drive isnt showing up either. What can i do to remedy this issue?

What can i do to remedy this issue?
2 part issue.
  1. Missing M.2 drive. Go into Disk Management, initialize second M.2, create partition and format it.
  2. Missing HDD. Connect it to a different sata port. Using M.2 drive may have disabled sata port, where HDD is connected. Consult motherboard user manual for info about disabled sata ports. After HDD is being detected, perform same steps as for missing M.2 drive.

I believe he's talking about BIOS so there is no seeing drive 1 it in disk management.

As others have stated, enabling both M.2 slots sometimes disables some SATA ports. Go back into BIOS and change back the setting you changed to make drive 1 disappear and then move your HDD to a different port on the MB.
