hi
i want to buy an m.2 pci e ssd but since i have all 4 satas filled, am worried if one of them will get disabled by m.2.

so will pci e ssd disable sata ? or only if i use m.2 sata ssd (one with red mark)?

The 860 EVO is a SATA M.2 drive.
Using that will disable SATA port 2 on your motherboard.

An NVMe drive such as a Samsung 970 EVO will not disable any SATA ports.
However, that port is only PCIe x2 capable. So any current NVMe drive will be hampered in that port.

What specific motherboard is this?

so i will go for a 128 gb pce i thats less then 1.8 gb speed so that i dont waste money on somthing that my mobo will not handle fully. i will use it for win11 os only.

system is used for gaming and 3d rendering and game engines like unity and unreal.

now i have 4 drives: plextor is main os ssd.

128GB is TooSmall.
People say "only for the OS". It never ends up like that.
You'll be back in a couple of months, wondering how to manage that very small free space.

Minimum 250GB.
