But you're giving up 1/2 the space for the mostly equal price.

And the actual 'speed' benefit is debatable.
Yes it is faster...in some use cases. If all you do is game on the system, unlikely you'd actually notice.

If you were continually moving around large blocks of sequential data, then it would be a significant improvement.
