[SOLVED] M.2 Corsair SSD not showing up??

I have a Asus ROG maximus xi hero and I installed a 1tb Corsair M.2 SSD. I only have two storage devices (hard drive-500gb/m.2 ssd-1tb). When I search for storage devices, two show up one 500gb and another close to 1000gb. The 1000gb one says that all of its storage is already being used and there is a partition within the ssd stopping the storage from being 1tb.

I made a mistake, the HDD is 2 TB and the M.2 is 500 GB.

I just bought a Samsung Samsung 860 Evo SSD and the same thing is happening.
I read I have to format and initialize the drives, but how do I do that when the computer doesn't even know they are there?

windows 10? check storage spaces.
if it is in there. delete the storage space and then back to disk management.

BUT, would be better to do a fresh os install on the ssd.
remove the hdd, and do a fresh os install to the ssd.
