Issue:
My D drive will work for a little bit then disconnect, it won't show back up till I remove the M.2 and place it back in. Then it will work for a little bit and disconnect again. I have moved it from one socket to another and it's still the same. My C drive works just fine, it's in socket m.2_1.

Specs:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Core, 16-Thread Desktop Processor
Cooler - IceGiant ProSiphon Elite CPU Cooler for Intel AMD
GPU - EVGA 08G-P4-3173-KR GeForce RTX 2070 Super XC ultra
MB - ASUS ROG Strix B650-A Gaming WiFi 6E AM5
RAM - G.Skill RipJaws S5 Series 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin SDRAM DDR5 6000
M.2 - D drive (SB-ROCKET-NVMe4-1TB), C drive (SB-ROCKET-NVMe4-500)
Power - Corsair CP-9020155-NA RMx Series RM750x 750W 80+ Gold Certified

Troubleshooting preformed:
This is a complete new install of windows 11 pro. I have fully up to date drivers and bios.
I moved the M.2 drive from M.2_3 socket into M.2_2 socket and it still had the same issues. I haven't made any significant changes to the bios the only thing I did was clock speeds for the ram to get 6000Mhz.

Any help is appreciated.

did you update your bios ?
you can send an email to the manufacturer and ask for help.
what does it say in the bios settings ?
is your M2 a generic chinese brand from schenzhen ?
if so you're in trouble .
your motherboard is not gigabyte that's a positive point in this regard.

Ty for the response.
yep Bios is fully updated.
The Bios settings are all default except for the RAM settings that's auto for the 6000mhz.
the M2 drives are Sabrent Rockets.

All drivers on windows 11 are fully up to date.

Is it possible that it's a power issue? I have messed around with it a little bit and when I power off the PSU (flip the switch) and hold down the power button to clear the MB, when I turn it back on it will detect the drive for a little while and then do the same thing. The drive will disappear again.
The only weird thing is that it doesn't happen with my main M.2 drive in slot1, any suggestions?

Ok, so I think it's just a bad M.2.
I managed to get my hands on a new M.2 and it seems to be working fine, the other one still isn't showing up. So I think it died...
