Hello all,

I am still running Win7 on my main Pc at home xD
I am looking to upgrade/ dual boot Win 11 just because some apps do not work anymore.
My mobo is and old Asus Sabertooth Z77,
what i am looking to do is to use https://www.skroutz.gr/s/38120052/A...e-syndesi-Type-C-90DD02N0-M09000.html#similar
with https://www.skroutz.gr/s/27703325/S...W.html?product_id=123048847&sponsored=listing. Or something along those lines.
My question is if it is possible to connect this on my mobo through usb3 or sata on the back?

It really matters to me for this to be portable as i will be able to hook it up elsewhere if anything goes wrong with the current system. I would just use the internal sata instead if portability was none of my concern.
Should i just use a regular sata ssd with a case?
What is the best way to do this and the most budget friendly?

It's been a long time since i have had any sort of engagement with all of this and i am kinda lost!!
Thx:)

1. What are the full specs of this system? A Z77 motherboard does not support a Win 11 compatible CPU.

2. Installing Windows to run from a USB is a non-trivial exercise.
And simply moving that between systems? Thats a non-starter.
Cpu is intel 3570k
8gb ram

I didn't know that i could install win11 really.
Win 10 would do just fine though.
So by using a pciE hard drive on an external case and getting a usb out => mobo usb in will not cause any issues whatsoever?
What would u suggest?
