I just aquired 5 M.2 sticks from Dell Computers. I have no idea of their status. I was thinking of putting them on my ASRock Z370 MB to test them. Are former Dell components compatible with Non-Dell MBs? One's a Samsung but the other 4 look fairly generic to me.

The first 3 are Intel SSDSCKKF256H6, #4 is a SKhynix SC308 (These first 4 have the dual slots on the insertion end.) and the 5th one is SKhynix PC300NVMe with one slot. They're not a lot by any means but they were free.

I admit it. I threw them in a box and hadn't really looked at them until now. With just a little searching I'm getting the feeling that they're okay for my PC. I was just worried that I might fry something in my MB. These were also included in some scrap where I work and they tend to be fairly wasteful of quite serviceable electronics so they may be fine. If they've gone bad will there be any harm for me to try installing them? FWIW, my PC is a self build so I'm somewhat experienced.

Thanks for answering.
