Okay, so I just bought a SanDisk NVMe SSD. Installed it in my motherboard (Asrock X470 Taichi). I decided to benchmark it, and it showed up in the bottom 7 percentile. Okay, well I just thought that was because it's a pretty cheep low end NVMe. But, I wanted to investigate a bit further. I downloaded crystal mark info and it's showing the drive running as though it's a gen 1X4. I have no idea why this could be.

I double checked the slot, and it's definitely in the 3x4 slot. And even if it was in the wrong slot, the only other one is a gen 3X4, but it's showing up as gen 1.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Upper M.2 slot (M2_1) is PCIE 3.0 x4. With Athlon series APU it works in PCIE 3.0 x2 mode.
Lower M.2 slot (M2_2) is PCIE 2.0 x4.

Check configuration options in BIOS. There may be options to change M.2 slot operating mode.
