Been having a bit of a nightmare... I've bought a new fanned heatsink for one of my 2 m.2 drives. Unfortunatrly the m.2 slot is in between my pcie slots, and the heatsinked drive doesn't seem to fit under my graphics card which is a 3.5 bay card.

So I've swapped my 2 m.2 drives around. The second drive / heatsink does just fit under the graphics card, but I suspect is touching. Ironically, it seems to be running a bit cooler than it was...

Would it be fair to say that this shouldn't be a problem, and that really I've in effect added a bigger heatsink??

Or do you see problems ahead?

Solution
I would be more worried about GPU cooling fan vibration being transferred to the M.2 drive than anything else.

It may be fine but you really don't want components touching that aren't supposed to be touching.

Cool, thanks, yep, makes sense.

I've got a thinner heatsink than the one it came with, I might try swapping it out. Playing musical chairs trying to find the best options!

Does beg lots of questions, but maybe for other threads!
