Solution Phillip Corcoran Jul 16, 2018 It may be the wrong type of M.2 SSD for that laptop model. I understand the M.2 slot on selected HP Envy models requires SATA-based M.2 SSD. The one you're trying to use might be a M.2 PCIe SSD. Note: I've moved this this thread to the "Storage" forum since an SSD is a storage device, not "memory".
