Question m.2 install question

am tryingto put a m.2 drive on mobo but the board standoff seems to have stripped threads. I can't fit the tiny screw in all the way so the m.2 doesn't sit flat.
Will this create a problem? O(nce I put the heatsink on it should sit flat.

If screw doesn't go all the way then it's the wrong screw. Motherboard should have came with a little bag with 1 or 2 m2 screws. Don't use heatsink screws, they are for putting heatsink back over the ssd for heat dissipation.

What motherboard is it?

nzxt n7 z690, there were 3 tiny screws and none were labeled. all 3 look the same.

Manual mentions 3x m2 screws so they should be it. What about the other standoffs? Same deal? Might have to get in contact with Nzxt asking why.

If you don't have the right screws, you may find it difficult to locate any. Ace Hardware couldn't help me and they have many variations of tiny screws.

If need be, you could attach the drive to a separately purchased adapter that fits in the slots. It should come with its own screws. Mine did. 15 or 20 bucks.

Found some standoffs and screws on Amazon. Said they would work with Asrock mobo which makes NZXT. Should be arriving this week.
