Hello, my current computer setup is the following:

Asus Z170-K
Intel I5 Skylake
GTX 1080
32gb ddr4 ram

2x WD 1tb HDD
1x samsung 250g SSD

I am attempting to add 2x m.2 970 Evo 500gb SSDs but i only have 1 m.2 slot
i have purchased a low profile m.2 adapter to fit my 2nd (and only other non-x1 PCIe slot) and was wondering if this would actually work before i attempt it.
If it would work but i would have to sacrifice some existing storage i would most likely drop a HDD in favor of a 2nd M.2 device
I will include link below of the adapter piece on amazon:

Solution
Yes it will work.
The specs don't mention anything about the M.2 port disabling one or more SATA ports.

ut you have 6x SATA ports. Even if it did disable a couple, you still have 4 more.
Yes i am aware of the adapter needing to use the other x16 slot, as mentioned in my original post. I just want to ensure that this will (theoretically) work with my current setup
