[SOLVED] M.2 Mounting Bracket

I just installed a new M.2 drive to my motherboard. I'm looking for some sort of bracket that will physically hold it in place since it mounts perpendicular to the motherboard. (It sticks out/up from the motherboard.) My concern is that over time it will eventually fall out of the socket.

I see two small screw holes in the motherboard to the left & right of the drive. They look like they would be for some sort of bracket to hold the M.2 in place. Now all I need is the bracket.

The M.2 drive is a Samsung 970 Pro. The motherboard is an Asus Prime X299 Deluxe.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Doesn't look like the board has a DIMM.2 slot.

The standoff and screw PC Tailor mentioned will be in your bag o screws that came with the motherboard. Or the standoff is already installed in the board and you just need to move it. Then a small screw holds the drive down.

Can we just go back to SAR sockets or something? Socket for the controller, and then slots for flash chips and dram. Yeah. DIY SSD.

I suppose the PCIe expansion cards are the logical result if board space is a premium. DIMM.2 and this monstrosity are just begging to get snapped off.

Looks like there is an horizontal slot, under a heatsink, plus the vertical slot, that it appears you used. There should be a bracket for the vertical one, as well, according to the manual.

Thanks! That's exactly the part I'm looking for. The "M.2 Stand." I will check my parts box again and see if I can find it.
