M.2 Not being recognised by the BIOS?

I just built a new PC, and whilst buying the parts I managed to get a great deal on an m.2 drive, so it's my only drive.

The problem is it's not recognised by the BIOS nor the windows installation stages. I have plugged it out and back in the socket again and again, but nothing changes. I'm pretty sure the motherboard can't restrict the m.2 size, and it can't restrict it's speeds, but I have no idea what the problem could be.

Also, whilst I was plugging it out and back in, I left the screw out because that stupid thing is basically microscopic, although once the problem is resolved I'll put it back :/

Also, after I tried plugging the drive in for the second time, the BIOS lost half of it's graphics. Should I be worried? It's still got 100% functionality, it just looks weird.

I just took it out, and it has some heat to it, bare in mind that this could be from the CPU adjacent to it.

I guess I can list the components to help:

Doesnt look like that M.2 is supported

Yeah that's the mobo... I didn't know it needed specific makes of the drive? And that small a list?

Yup it is a bit small. Not too sure why it wouldnt support it.

Is there any get around in order to utilise the drive? I saw a m.2 to sata express card, but no purchase links, but that's sort of what I'm looking for.

And also, can I use an m.2 to pcie adapter, even though my drive is m.2 sata?

Yes. Since there's 3 NVME's it supports as the above link says

The NVME would be faster, but it can be a bit tricky to set it up.

Because you have to configure the BIOS settings first then add drivers. So you cant boot from an NVME

No point getting a M.2 to sata ssd adapter, when the mobo has 6 sata ports

The only thing with NVME is it MAY disable other sata ports. So it can use their bandwidth

If it does the manual should say what sata ports
