[SOLVED] m.2 nvme drive not found after bsod reset

From time to time i get a BSOD and the system auto resets. from the WhoCrashed software it seems it usually the GPU that causes it. When the system auto restarts it it says to insert a proper boot drive Until i do a hard reset and then it boots normally. I haven't tried creating a boot off a Sata SSD yet to see if that fixes the issue, but I was hoping to avoid that.

System: AMD 1600AF, MSI B450 Tomahawk Max, XFX 5600 XT
 
Solution
By reset do you mean reinstall windows? If yes did you see the nvme drive in the windows installer? You can try going to CREATE AND FORMAT HARD DRIVE PARTITIONS in the control panel. If the drive shows there and is black instead of blue like the others, right click and select "new simple volume" click next all the way through and it should show up.
