[SOLVED] m.2 nvme help

So I’m building my first pc and picked up an m2 nvme drive. When doing research on it, I see people talking about needing to activate it in your bios or something like that? It would be amazing if anyone could explain to me why and if I have to do this. Thanks.

Could you list all the parts of the system including PSU brand and model?

I no activate mine in bios but did check on boot up. Mobo just recognize and was good. But could imagine other mobo not do this so its good idea to check. Simple thing to do.

Not to worry.
Your motherboard should recognize the drive.
After windows install, there might be a vendor specific pcie motherboard driver that helps with performance.
I know that the samsung devices have such a driver .
