So i just bought a new ssd and i put it in the m.2 slot and turned on the computer. When i first opened up file explorer i could not see the new ssd. So i though "maybe i need to set it up first". And so i searched on google and i saw a lot of answers regarding disk manager, but i could not see the ssd there. After that i searched how i could fix it. A lot of websites said that i should update the drivers and so i did, but there were no new ones. I tried plugging it in and out. I even did an BIOS update and a windows update, but it still was not there. I also tried inplugging both of my other drives to see if it magicacly would work, but it did not. I wanted to freshly install windows on the nvme so i followed the steps and started the computer using the usb with the windows installer on it. When i could choose between the drives, the m.2 was not there, but it was in the BIOS.

My specs
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
-be quiet! System Power 9 700W CM PSU / PC
  • Gigabyte B550 AORUS ELITE V2
  • GTX 1660
-samsung 870 evo
-toshiba 1TB Hard drive (cant remember specific name)
-2x 8GB corsair vengeance 3200

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

it does not
Can you show screenshots from Device Manager ("Disk drives" ans "Storage controllers" sections expanded) ?
Also show screenshot from Windows Storage spaces.

If there is no NVME controller in Storage controllers section, then you have to install NVME driver. Download from Samsung.

If NVME controller drivers are installed and drive still doesn't appear in Disk Management, then check Windows Storage spaces.
If the drive appears there, then remove drive from storage pool and delete Storage pool.

I hope it's not Windows 7. Then also several hotfixes need to be installed to add support for NVME drives.

What specific M.2 NVMe?
Please show us a screencap of your Disk Management window.

And for any OS install, you really only want the ONE drive connected. Physically disconnect all others.

I have the 970 EVO Plus from samsung

So as you can see the drive is in the storage pool, do i remove the pool now? or do you still want to see the rest of what you asked for?
