Hello! I am helping my friend build a new PC and are going with these parts from pcpartpicker.com Finn's PC Part Picker Build I'm new to the M.2 Drives, and I was doing some research and discovered the SATA M.2 drives are just as fast as regular SSD drives. We are looking to put in affordable NVMe M.2 Drive just to improve boot times. I don't see pcpartpicker.com listing any NVMe drives so I was wondering what NVMe M.2 drive and MOBO I should get for this build. I don't think the MOBO I chose supports NVMe M.2 drives.
The current M.2 Drive in the build is found here on Amazon: Crucial MX300 525GB M.2
The present mobo for this build can be found here on Amazon: MSI Pro Series Intel H270 DDR4 HDMI USB 3 CrossFire ATX Motherboard (H270 PC MATE)
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Any suggestions are welcome!

the nvme drives with new controllers are upto 3-4 times faster than ur sata 2.5 drives. but they also cost 2 times as much. the cheapest faster ones i would recommend are mydigitalssd bpx, plextor mp8e then comes samsung 960 evo.
if u r looking for the best sata drives, zotac premium edition 240gb is a killer one. so are samsung 850 series and pny cs2211, mushkin reactor 512 gb model
