I feel like I have tried everything but I can't seem to get my m.2 drives to show up in raid.
I just built a new pc, here are the parts:
cpu: Ryzen 2700x
mobo: Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero (Wifi)
ssd: 2x samsung 860evo 500gb
m.2: 2x samsung 970evo 500gb
gpu: Asus strix 1080 ti OC edition
bios version 0601 x64
I have watched all sorts of videos and read all sorts of guides on how to configure an m.2 raid 0 array. The problem is that all of these sources are using a bios version not available on asus' website (0508 x64).
I have enabled my sata port, set sata mode to raid, set nvme raid mode to enabled.
I have also tried changing my m.2_2 bandwidth configuration to each setting (auto, disabled(x8 mode), and disabled (4x4 mode)
I have been able to initialize a recognizable raid 0 array with my ssd's (860 evo's) but when I am in the raid array configuration bios (CTRL+R), my m.2 drives do not show up on either list. From time to time, they may show up in legacy mode in red text, however I am unable to do anything other than delete them and they do not show up in either list again after refreshing.
I have also gone to amd support and downloaded the drivers needed for the OS install. Along with those drivers there is a pdf file guide on how to set it up. The problem is, it is outdated and the bios options do not match the step by step directions. I even reflashed to the older version of the bios that asus did have available and it still did not match the available options.
I have contacted asus via chat and phone and they are no help
